NOF is the first company to manufacture high-purity methoxypoly(ethylene glycol) (mPEG) in various molecular weights with a narrow polydispersity and a low diol content. These high-purity mPEGs have already been commercialized into several PEG drugs, such as PEG-INTERFERON and PEG-GCSF.

NOF’s mPEGs have lower levels of contaminating diol content than do competing products. As shown in Figure 1, the diol content is extremely low level compared with that of competitors’ mPEG (MW = 5000) products. In addition, the polydispersity of NOF’s mPEG is narrower than those of competing products. NOF’s activated PEGs are produced by using these high-quality mPEGs. The quality of the activated PEGs reflects the quality of the mPEG precursors.
